Scarlett Pong, Organising Chairman of the 9th Global Conference of the Alliance for Healthy Cities (AFHC) remarked that though the 9th AFHC was prepared and held under the pandemic-stricken time, we are pleased it turned out to be a successful international gathering. The conference which was held for the first time through a webinar presented lots of challenges and yet opportunities, with people from over 24 countries and cities coming together to discuss online, without the hassles of travelling all the way to Hong Kong. Taking this opportunity, she expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the support from more than 80 government departments, universities as well as local and overseas professional organisations. Last but not least, she thanked the sole funder HK Jockey Club Charities Trust as well as RTHK TV channel 32 for broadcasting live for part of the conference program to go viral.

Let’s join hands together and make collaborative efforts in building a healthy community for all.
